About the session
In collaboration of SHIPS peer-led Maryam Bayam & Solace Homeopathy
Through pressed flower art and botany patching, you’ll be guided to explore what’s been sitting unspoken. No artistic experience needed. No pressure to “make something pretty.” Just space to create, reflect, and let the process speak for itself.
Why flowers and nature? Because long before modern cities, our ancestors across the Nusantara lived closely with nature, and flowers, leaves, and forests inspired our art, textiles, poetry, and daily life. Modern psychology also shows that nature connectedness and mindfulness help us slow down and process our emotions. Just as traditional ancestral practices brought communities together to regulate emotions through creative expression, this session invites us to reconnect with our roots and find emotional wellbeing through sensory-based art.
